This page explains what BST Docs does with your information. It is short because we do not do much with it.

Who we are

BST Docs (bst-docs.com) is a free programming learning library. You can reach us at bst.group.co@gmail.com.

What we collect

If you just read courses, we collect almost nothing — our server keeps standard access logs (your IP address, browser, and which pages you opened), the same as any website.

If you create an account, we store your name and email address, and we record which lessons you have opened and completed so we can show your progress back to you.

If you write to us through the contact form, we keep your message and your email address so we can reply.

What we do with it

Run the site, show you your progress, answer your messages, and work out what is broken when something goes wrong. That is the whole list.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers described below.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember small preferences, such as whether you chose the light or dark theme. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still be readable, but signing in will stop working.

Advertising

We show ads from Google to keep the site free. That means:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You can turn off personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.
  • You can opt out of other vendors' advertising cookies at aboutads.info/choices.

We do not control which ads appear or what data Google collects through them — that is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

How long we keep things

Account and progress data stays while your account exists. Ask us to delete it and we will. Server logs are rotated and overwritten in the normal course of running the site.

Your choices

Email us and you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You do not need to give a reason.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal data, tell us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this changes, we will update the date at the top. Nothing here is retroactive.
